As our new Audio Producer you'll be creating cutting-edge audio content at the direction of the Supervising Sound Editor and Head of Production and have the willingness to learn and use a variety of editing software products and platforms that support and align with the company’s rapidly evolving needs.

​

We're looking for someone with the following qualifications:

​

-An ability to bear in mind both the big picture narrative of a show while also demonstrating meticulous attention to detail

-Executing assignments with a strong understanding of Idea to Launch Productions's voice, brand and mission

-A team player who is willing to do what needs to be done and is eager to problem-solve

-An appreciation for diverse work experience and backgrounds

-Solid knowledge of the podcast industry

Responsibilities of the position include:

-Extract elements from raw audio to create compelling narratives

-Repurpose content for advertising and marketing along various platforms, hosting sites, and social media

-Extract and clean audio clips from in-field recordings and virtual interviews

-Organize and maintain all audio files in accordance with storage and filing best practices

-Continue to elevate and improve the sound capture and design process from end-to-end

-Sound library management

-Participate in weekly kickoff call with i2L team

-Participate in weekly production meetings

Basic editing is required:

​

- Cutting out "um's", "ah's" and any mistakes/errors

- Assembling the episode (adding intro + outro, music, highlight clip at the start)

- Leveling out volume

- Reducing background noise

- Simply making sure the episode is cohesive and flows well!

-We use Adobe Premiere Pro or Audacity to edit podcast audio but I do not mind what software you use.

You will be starting with 2 possibly 3 podcasts which would be approximately 8-10 hours a week.

​

Must be willing and able to work flexible hours as needed including weekends, holidays, and overnights, under tight deadline pressure, occasionally with little or no warning as needed for essential publication.

​
